Who is responsible
Julian Vonk, editor of Eurobyte, is responsible for this website under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: info@eurobytenews.com.
What stays on your own device
Which articles you have read and which topics you follow are stored only in your own browser (local storage), so the site can fade read stories and show “My news”. This information never leaves your device. Reset your read history with “Mark everything as unread” on the homepage, change your followed topics in My news, or clear both by clearing your browser data.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site against attacks. Eurobyte does not use this data to identify or profile readers.
Sharing and links
The share buttons are plain links. Nothing is sent to X, LinkedIn or Bluesky unless you click one. Links to sources take you to other websites, which have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Because Eurobyte does not collect personal data about readers, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you have a question or want to exercise your rights under the GDPR, contact the editor. You can also complain to your national data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
